| The
pistol bays are reserved on Sunday mornings for matches.
Competitors are required to bring all firearms to the range in a
case or bag in an unloaded condition. Marked safety areas are
provided near each bay for transferring the gun to the holster.
Guns may be handled at the safety area for inspection, repair or
dry firing at any time during the match. However, handling
ammunition is strictly prohibited at the safety areas. Guns may
not be handled anywhere else on the range during the match
except under the supervision of a designated range officer.
Firearms may be loaded only when the shooter is instructed to do
so by a designated range officer prior to engaging a course of
fire. |
| The
club asks that all competitors attend the match briefing with
their equipment prepared so that the match can proceed
immediately after the briefing is finished. The normal match
registration period therefore ends at 8:30 in order to provide
competitors with 15 minutes to put on their gear and load
magazines. |
|
Shooters who
are inexperienced in practical shooting or who are new to Pima
Pistol Club must attend the briefing. |
